Have you been trying just about everything that’s out there to cure your acne? Have you had the misfortune of being let down again & again & again? Well, that doesn’t mean your some freak destined to be plagued by acne forever. It truth, it simply means that you need to take a step back and rethink your acne treatment strategy. Perhaps, rather than the chemical filled products, it’s time to try a home acne treatment or two to get the job done quickly and easily. After all, if you’ve tried everything else, what more do you have to lose? Certainly not money, cause these treatments are DIRT cheap!

Try a Simple At Home Acne Treatment..

- Double up on Oatmeal – Apart from getting all the fibrous nutrients from your oatmeal breakfast, you can also consider using it as a mask on your face. Just boil it as normal and allow it to cool, then rub it onto your face as a mask shortly after. Once applied, leave the oatmeal on for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse away with warm water. After a few uses, you should see a noticeable difference in your acne problems.

- Try Aloe Vera – Aloe vera is one of those garden products that is good for just about anything. Acne treatment is no exception, because you can rub aloe vera on your spots and pimples, and you will get good results quite quickly. Once you rub it on, leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing off and patting your face dry.

- Keep your Hands Away – Whether you are at home or at work, it is always a good idea to keep your hands away from your face because bacteria can spread and infect you, hence causing acne. It would really be unfortunate if you worked hard to get rid of your acne, only to have it come back because you could not keep your hands away from your face!

With these simple and effective tips for at home acne treatment, there is no real need for you to go out and WASTE hundreds of dollars on ridiculous over the counter products. In fact, it’s safe to say that more than 90% of those OTC products don’t work HALF AS GOOD as those 3 home acne treatments listed above! That being said, just do yourself a favor and give them a try — you’ll be glad you did!

If you are searching for the top acne treatments, then the chances are that you have already been treated unsuccessfully. This is not uncommon. Skin conditions, including acne, can be difficult to treat. Often very destructive methods, such as cortisone treatment, is used.

However, all these treatments don’t work because the cause is not being addressed. They are simply trying to mask over the effects.

The nature of disease is all about your immune system. A strong immunity prevents any disease or throws out a violent reaction when one tries to get a hold of you (for example a violent fever which is short lived). Few people have strong immune systems.

When someone has barely compromised immunity, then the skin is often used as the safest organ to unload toxins from. So someone with acne, or any other skin eruption is more healthy than someone who has had their skin problem suppressed.

Your body, in stubbornly maintaining acne as the safest outlet, is showing that you are still quite healthy.

Top Acne Treatment

The top acne treatment must work on unloading your body of the toxin load it is dumping through your skin. So a healthy diet may go a long way to resolving the problem.

Holistic treatment

This will prevent further toxin overload. So if you are regularly taking drugs, try to get that replaced with natural medicines.

One of the top acne treatments is homeopathic medicine. Homeopathy works by raising your immune system quickly. By carefully matching your symptoms to those of the most appropriate homeopathic medicine, you can expect your acne to disappear for good. If you are new to homeopathy, this may best be left to a professional homeopath.

The homeopathic medicine Silica can resolve acne which have a tendency to leave pitting scars. The skin looks a little like orange peel, after the acne has healed.

The character of Silica acne is the hardness of the pimples, which tend not to come to a head and usually show no signs of pus.

The typical locations of the acne is on your face especially your cheeks, but the forehead can also be affected.

After taking Silica, if it was a good match, the acne should start to discharge. This is a healthy sign that it is working.

You are grateful to no longer have acne, but unfortunately there are still remnants of your acne in the form of scars. Some of the scars are more visible than others, but no mater how visible they are, you want to get rid of all of them and have nice clear skin. Thus, you want to know what options are available for acne scar healing.

About Acne Scar Healing

Something that many people try to do to as a form of acne scar healing is to go tanning, whether it is directly out in the sun or in a tanning bed. This is not actually a form of acne scar healing at all, because tanning damages the layers of your skin. These people think that they can hide the scars with the tan, but actually some forms of tanning will actually make the acne scars more visible.

One of the first things that you should look into when it comes to acne scar healing are the lotions that are available at your local grocery store. There are many products available on the market that can help to reduce the appearance of acne scars. However keep in mind that these lotions do not work right away. You will have to wait a few weeks before the acne scar healing process will work.

However, if you are the kind of person that wants your acne scars completely erased, you will have to spend a considerably higher amount of money. In this case you have several different options. There is cosmetic skin surgery available, in which you can get a chemical peel. This means that the upper layers of skin are peeled of and the skin is cleaned. This will only work in terms of acne scar healing if the scars do not permeate many different skin layers.

The next option you have is to have laser treatment done. This is a way to regenerate the skin so that the scars are healed. This is usually done over a process of a few treatments. It should be noted that if you decide to have cosmetic surgery to accelerate the acne scar healing process, you should make sure that you have the necessary funds.

For more information on acne scar healing, consult your doctor. Your doctor can refer you to skin specialists that will be able to help. Remember that doing things like getting tattoos or tanning will not be a long-term solution. You are sure to find the right, safe acne scar healing process with the proper research.

It is true treating pimples needs both patience and persistence, but sometimes time is the thing you are short of. You desperately need them off your face at any cost; the world seems almost cruel otherwise. You almost feel like tearing your hair out thinking of how to get rid of pimples overnight and it is for situations like these that there are over the counter drugs and ointments.

However, just using medicines will not relieve you of the pimples, there are rules you have to follow to make it work out right. There are Dos and Do nots and always remember some things are better left alone, messing with them is not advisable. For example, if you think the easiest way out of your ordeal would be to pop your zits, you are definitely wrong.

Most of the time, overnight pimple cures are just an overblown phrase because an overnight cure for pimples is almost impossible to devise without a change in your lifestyle. Especially if you are used to having a stressful life and you have a biased diet. Try to make it a balanced one including food that would also make it into a cleansing diet. Talking of cleansing, there is no substitute for water, thus make drinking 8-10 glasses of water each day a part of your daily routine.

Tips for overnight cure

Some home remedies however can rid you of pimples sometimes overnight and even if not overnight by not more than half a day.

You could use the white of an egg to dab on your pimple. Once left on for around 20 minutes it usually helps and dries up the pimple. Another unique method would be to apply toothpaste; preferably not the gel type on the pimple and it has the same effect.

Cleaning the skin is an essential part of curing pimples and the cleaning needs special care when you need to cure pimples overnight. If you wash your face with a soap enriched with aloe vera it can help you immensely. You could also try cleaning your skin with apple cider vinegar, or a more simple remedy would be to clean it with lemon juice.

Before you start any pimple remedy, you must be sure that the acne is not caused due to an allergic reaction to any food or cosmetics. The cure could otherwise have an adverse effect on the acne.

Your skin is unique and different from everyone else’s and therefore you should remember that what works for someone else might not work for you and vice versa. Therefore, it would be advisable if you try out the different methods beforehand to know which one suits you.

You could also pay your family physician a visit, who might just as well recommend you to a dermatologist. Both the doctor and the dermatologist might have ideas that would truly rid you of that pimple overnight.

Acne is a common problem for many people, from teenagers to people in their forties. Acne is not only embarrassing, but can cause severe scarring. As more and more research is done, they are finding more productive ways to treat acne. Light therapy for acne is a promising treatment. In order to understand how this works, an understanding of what causes acne is needed.

Acne And Its Causes

Acne can occur on the face or sometimes even the body. Everyone has glands right below the surface of their skin called sebaceous glands. These glands are responsible for secreting oils onto the skin through the hair follicle tubes found on the skins surface.

These hair follicle tubes can become clogged; as the glands continue to produce oil, the combination results in a pimple. For some, it can just stop there, for others the problem continues when a bacteria known as Propionibacterium, becomes involved. This bacteria is commonly found on the skin, but it uses sebaceous to grow. People with acne have an overabundance of Propionibacterium.

Since bacteria is involved, white blood cells are attracted and cause a breakdown on the skin, which results in the red blotchy inflamed skin associated with acne.

Light Therapy For Acne As An Alternative

Light therapy for acne has shown to be a promising break through. Light therapy for acne works by using a blue or a red light wave. The FDA has approved this process for mild to moderate acne. Light therapy for acne, involves exposing the skin to the light for about 20 to 30 minutes. Light therapy for acne uses a blue ray to destroy the bacteria Propionibacterium. The red light used in light therapy for acne, helps with the swelling and inflammation caused by the white blood cells. Some patients do have some mild pain after using the light therapy for acne.

Light therapy for acne treatments are sometimes offered through a dermatologist center. This process can take monthly treatments as acne is an ongoing problem for many. There are hand held devices that can be purchased for the home. A discussion with a doctor regarding these and which would work the best is recommended.

Although approved by the FDA, there have been no long term studies as to any damage caused by light therapy for acne. For many, the benefits brought about by light therapy for acne are a testament to the success of the process.

While there are no definite cures or cystic acne treatment that will benefit every person, the best recourse is to learn the causes and eliminate them. By eliminating the causes of cystic acne, the course of any needed treatment will be more direct and more effective. Some over-the-counter products sold for common acne problems will probably have little effect as a cystic acne treatment as they are topical solutions and cystic acne forms deep under the skin, untouched by topical treatments.

A person suffering an outbreak, who has not been using harsh cleansers or topical creams may benefit from beginning cystic acne treatment by washing the area with a light cleaners and applying benzoyl peroxide once or twice a day. They should also wear light clothing to avoid aggravating the spot by rubbing or chafing. If the initial cystic acne treatment fails to produce results, a stronger over-the-counter solution may be tried, but if that fails a trip to the dermatologist may be in order.

In most cases, an outbreak of cystic acne, if kept clean and untouched, will go away one the bacterial infection under the skin has run its course, which can take as long as two weeks. However, attempting to squeeze the pus from this type of acne may make the condition worse, as well as cause more pain to an already uncomfortable situation. Squeezing the bump is not an accepted cystic acne treatment and should be avoided.

Skin Prone To Acne Should Be Well Cared For

While topical treatments may work to some extent, because they are deep in the skin, the results will be limited. Antibiotics are a promising cystic acne treatment and under a doctor’s care, with antibiotic treatment all signs of cystic acne should totally disappear in a few weeks. However, if used too often, the bacteria in the cyst may develop an immunity and stronger measures will need to be undertaken.

Sulphamides are often used as a cystic acne treatment in cases of antibiotic immunity but should be used strictly as directed as they can cause serious side effects. Typically, cystic acne will run its course and disappear on its own, but while it is present it can be unsightly as well as painful to the touch. Squeezing the eruptions will only cause intensified pain and push the bacteria deeper into the skin, making it harder to treat. Additionally, it may also extend the life of the current infected point.

To begin understanding the steps in curing acne, the causes of acne and the different types must first be understood. Acne is considered any type of breakout of the skin ranging from blackheads, whiteheads, pimples and cysts. The cause is usually due to the pores of the skin being blocked by dead skin tissue or sebum, the oil and wax product the body produces to help maintain moisture in the skin.

As sebum is produced, it works its way through the gland that allows hair to travel from the follicle to the surface of the skin. If the sebum is slowed or hardens it can form an effective block in the follicle causing an infection at the point at which the blockage occurred. The first step in curing acne, regardless of the cause, is to prevent the conditions that are favorable for it to form.

By keeping the skin clean and free of dry skin and excess sebum, it will allow a smoother flow to the surface where it can do its job of coating the skin and protect it from drying out. For common form of outbreaks, benzoyl peroxide is considered the best means of curing acne for surface outbreaks. The pimples near the surface will respond to treatment and the root of the pimple can be killed by the treatment, resulting in the skin clearing.

As Conditions Worsen Stronger Methods Are Needed

Cysts, often referred to as cystic acne, are essentially pimples that form under the skin, with the surface pustule being as large as 5 mm in diameter and the root imbedded as deep as to the hair root. Squeezing will not help and usually makes matters worse. A typical method of curing acne generally has little effect of cystic acne as it is a topical solution and unable to penetrate deep enough to have any effect.

There are a few over-the-counter medications for curing acne that contain antibiotics that are necessary to eliminate the cysts. The best of curing acne with cysts is to keep them clean with a light cleaner and light rubbing, but not squeezing. When left alone they will usually disappear in about two weeks. If aggravated they may remain much longer and cause more pain.

When taking precautionary steps are not enough to avoid acne breakouts, using over-the-counter methods of curing acne can be a good first step. However, for more stubborn cases of acne, consulting a dermatologist who can recognize the type of acne being suffered may be needed to find an effective means of curing acne.

Different Methods Of Acne Treatments

No one wants to suffer from acne, but it is a nearly inevitable part of growing up, and can last well into adulthood. Unsightly and sometimes painful, people with acne often suffer from lowered self-esteem, thanks to self-consciousness about their acne problem. It’s no wonder that there are plenty of things on the market for the treatments of acne. If you’re looking to find treatments for your acne, let’s look at some of the things you can do to help improve your skin.

Exfoliation

Because the outer layers of skin, which contain dead tissue, can clog pores and lead to acne, one effective treatment for acne is to exfoliate the skin, encouraging those outer layers to peel in order to get to healthier skin beneath and to prevent clogged pores. This can be achieved by vigorous scrubbing or by using an exfoliating solution. Often, these come in the form of pads soaked in liquids like salicylic acid or glycolic acid, such as Oxy pads. If you’ve ever used an Oxy pad and felt that tingling sensation on your skin, that’s part of the exfoliation process.

Topical Creams

Another common treatment for acne is the application of topical creams, such as Clearasil, which contain benzoyl peroxide. One benefit of this chemical is that it helps to kill some of the bacteria that can contribute to outbreaks of acne. Another, extra benefit to using benzoyl peroxide as an acne treatment is that it helps to dissolve some of the things that clog the pores, such as keratin. The main danger to topical creams is to your clothes and hair, since they can bleach both, resulting in cosmetic discolorations.

Phototherapy

One, more recent treatment for acne is the use of light to help clear up skin. While for years, it’s been noted that getting sunlight will help to bring short term clearing up of acne, sunlight will, in the long term, result in more acne. This is because the warmth and light will encourage the skin to produce more natural oils, which enter clogged pores and cause acne. However, it has been found that exposure to intense amounts of blue light show remarkable results, leading to a large reduction in acne that can last for weeks or even months at a time. But whether you reach for a dripping pad or decide to sit in front of a special lamp on a daily basis, there are plenty of acne treatments out there that can help you.

If Only We Knew What causes acne

If every problem only had a known cause there would be no problem finding a cure for it. In the case of acne, what causes acne, if it could be pinpointed would lead to finding an effective cure for the condition. However, the case of acne is rather muddled and the cause is not able to be attributed to any particular instance. Also, why this condition arises varies from person to person, who means it is still rather unclear what causes acne.

A Good Understanding About The Underlying Process

However, unclear what causes acne may be, there is a pretty good understanding about the actual process behind the occurrence of acne. Still, doctors and scientists need to do more in order to find out the real reason why an acne breakout occurs. What causes acne can best be understood by linking the production of excess oil by the sebaceous glands of the skin to the actual outbreak. Such excess oil will mix with your dead skin and thus clog the pores of the skin close to the hair follicles, and thus give rise to pimples, which in any form, are most unwelcome.

Furthermore, when studying what causes acne we may have to look to the hormones within the body as another possible cause, though it may not be so in each and every case. Most often, during puberty in boys as well as in girls, the increase in hormones causes the glands to get over stimulated and in the presence of other factors can lead to the formation of acne.

No doubt, hormones are a contributing factor to what causes acne, especially in teenagers, pregnant women as well as even during adulthood. Nevertheless, there are other potential factors too that may be considered as being instrumental in causing acne. Some of these other factors that can be considered in the study of what causes acne include stress, heredity, as well as medications.

So, what causes acne can vary from person to person, which make it very hard to pinpoint the exact cause, and thus removing the problem is even more difficult. There are some mythical reasons as well as that are considered as being factors that cause acne and these include eating chocolates, greasy food as well as consuming other dietary foods. However, food is not what causes acne, though it can play a part in exacerbating the problem. You will certainly find treating acne more difficult if you insist on a heavy intake of French fries in spite of warnings to the contrary. Other mythical causes include dirt, touching of the skin, and makeup. Rest assured what causes acne cannot be one particular thing in each and every person.
